TOKYO, 14 August 2026 – The Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ) had the privilege of attending an engagement session with the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, providing a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties and discuss ways to better support Malaysian students across Japan.

MSAJ was represented by Secretary-General Ainul Radhiah Binti Yusof and External Affairs Coordinator Tinish Subramaniam. The Embassy delegation was led by H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani, Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Japan, together with Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister Mr. Zainal Azlan Mohd Nadzir and other Embassy officers.

The session began with a presentation of MSAJ’s corporate profile, highlighting the association’s activities and its commitment to connecting and supporting Malaysian students throughout Japan. This was followed by a productive discussion in which the Embassy shared valuable feedback and recommendations for MSAJ’s future direction.

Among the key areas discussed were expanding MSAJ’s membership and student network, strengthening academic and career support, improving communication with Malaysian communities across universities, and exploring future collaborations with the Embassy. The discussion also touched on MSAJ’s activities, financial transparency, event proposals, student safety, and the importance of maintaining professionalism when representing the Malaysian student community.

MSAJ is especially grateful for the Embassy’s openness to supporting and collaborating on future initiatives, including career development, academic activities, student welfare, and community programmes. The advice and perspectives shared throughout the meeting provided MSAJ with meaningful guidance on how the association can continue improving its role as a platform for Malaysian students in Japan.

MSAJ extends its sincere appreciation to H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani and the Embassy officers for their warm welcome, time, and invaluable guidance. The engagement reaffirmed the importance of close cooperation between MSAJ and the Embassy, and MSAJ looks forward to strengthening this partnership in serving and connecting the Malaysian student community throughout Japan.
