Dear Rain
Oh dear rain, don’t pour today,
I’m out with my friends, so come another day,
Spending our final weekend, till the night is over,
Take your gloomy sky, cuz it’s only a bother.
Oh dear rain, when will you stop?
I promised my family that we’re eating out,
Although I would much prefer a warm home cooked meal,
This night is our last, so hear my appeal.
Oh dear rain, please move aside,
You’re causing this traffic, and I’ll miss the flight,
The air in this car is heavily blue,
So I beg you rain, please let me through.
Oh dear rain, when will you halt?
The sadness you bring is breaking me apart,
Looking down at the land that I need to let go,
With raindrops on my window, I feel the sorrow.
Oh dear rain, I finally made it,
The soil of the foreign land is under my feet,
I’m sure till the end I will shower in glory,
But oh…that was not the story?
Oh dear rain, please return soon,
I miss your lullaby, it soothes my lonely soul,
At the mercy of struggles, during the days of gloom,
Every drop is a company I can’t afford to lose.
Oh dear rain, come home soon.
